Bold text generator

Three separate bold alphabets, side by side. Copy the one that matches the rest of your profile.

A few styles can show as empty boxes on some phones or apps, so check after pasting. Screen readers may read these styles poorly, so use them for flair and not for important info like links or phone numbers.

Why pasted bold text needs a generator at all

Bolding normally belongs to the app. You select a word, press a button, and the app stores a formatting flag next to the text. That flag does not survive leaving the app: paste it into a bio field and the bold disappears, because the field only accepts characters, not formatting.

A bold text generator solves the problem from the other direction. It replaces every letter with a bold Unicode character — the mathematical bold alphabet at U+1D400 — so the weight is baked into the characters themselves. Nothing has to be interpreted, which is why it survives a copy into TikTok, a Discord nickname, a YouTube title or a plain-text email.

Bold serif, bold sans or bold fraktur

The list above puts all three at the top, because they are not interchangeable:

Mixing two bold alphabets in one line usually looks like a mistake. Pick one and use it consistently, including in the profile name and the first line of the bio.

Digits and punctuation

Bold alphabets cover A–Z and a–z, and the mathematical bold range also carries digits at U+1D7CE. Fraktur and script do not have their own digits, so numbers stay plain — a price or a year will not match the letters around it. If a number is part of the message, put it on its own line or accept the visual break.

Punctuation, emoji and accented characters are left untouched, which is deliberate: a comma is a comma in every style.

Where bold text is worth using

Bold earns its place when one word has to survive a crowded screen: the first word of a caption, a name in a comment thread, a hook in a video overlay. In a bio, bold on the whole sentence flattens the hierarchy — bold the niche word and leave the rest plain. And keep anything people must type exactly — links, handles, discount codes — in plain characters, because bold digits and letters are not the same bytes as the ones a keyboard produces.

Questions people ask about bold text generator

Will bold text stay bold after I paste it?

Yes, in fields that accept Unicode. The weight is part of the characters, so there is no formatting to lose. Fields that only accept plain ASCII, such as a username, will strip it.

Can I bold just one word?

Yes. Type the full sentence into the generator, copy the bold result, then paste it and delete the words you did not want bold — or bold only the phrase you need and assemble the line yourself.

Do bold numbers work?

In the mathematical bold ranges, yes: digits are included. Bold fraktur has no digits, so numbers stay in their normal weight.

Is bold Unicode text bad for SEO or search?

Search engines index the characters you paste on your own pages, but social platforms do not match bold characters to plain search queries. Put the plain spelling of your name somewhere in the profile text.

Does bold text work in email subject lines?

Often yes, since subject lines are text fields. Some clients render unknown characters as boxes, so send yourself a test first.
